Founded in 1960, AMAPLAST, a non-profit Association, known as ASSOCOMAPLAST until 2017,
represents about 170 important companies, Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers. The Members' list, divided as per name and production, is available on the homepage of this web site together with further sectoral information in the Sector section.
AMAPLAST main aim is to promote worldwide the knowledge and circulation of the Italian plastics and rubber processing technologies that are at the top of the world market in terms of production and export. Since the beginning of the Fifties, the Italian manufacturers have been offering a complete range of original, reliable and innovative machines.
AMAPLAST Members are subdivided in Effective Members, companies which design, manufacture and sell machines, equipment or moulds for plastics and rubber, and Associated Members, companies that are complementary with the Effective Members.
AMAPLAST attends the main sectoral exhibitions abroad with an informative booth in order to assist the visitors in contacting the Italian companies

AMAPLAST owns 100% of the commercial company PROMAPLAST srl, which has the aim of implementing the activity programs decided by the Association Board of Directors.
PROMAPLAST srl publishes the bimonthly technical magazine MACPLAS, with a total circulation of 7,000 copies in Italy, besides the internet version MACPLAS ONLINE (www.macplas.it/en/
) and the bi-weekly newsletter MACPLAS E-NEWS. On the occasion of the main sectoral exhibitions in the world local issues are planned, when Italian joint collective pavilions are organized.
Moreover, PROMAPLAST srl organizes every three years the international exhibition PLAST in Milan, the second trade fair in Europe, which seventeenth edition took place from May 5 to 9, 2015, attracted 50,087 visitors coming from 115 countries as well as 1,584 exhibitors from 57 countries (www.plastonline.org/en
). Next edition will take place from Tuesday May 29 to Friday June 1, 2018 concurrent with IPACK-IMA, MEAT-TECH, PRINT4ALL and INTRALOGISTICA ITALIA and will cover the entire Fairgrounds of FIERA MILANO in Rho.
AMAPLAST, through CESAP (Centre for the Development of Plastics Applications), organizes technical training activities and supports research and new applications of processing technologies and new materials etc. for processors and users of plastic materials.
AMAPLAST is Member of CONFINDUSTRIA (Confederation of Italian Industry) and EUROMAP (European Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association).
