Opened today in Lyon the 13th edition of FIP, 30 years of activity this year, scheduled from June 13 to 16. The show confirms its growth on an exhibitors’ basis (100 more than in 2014) and as well considering its occupied area (33% more). The opening ceremony included a press conference attended by several representatives of multinational companies such as Arkema and Renault, who wished for a recovery of French plastics and rubber market, supporting and promoting, during the debate, research, technical training and more investments in new technologies, as industry 4.0, which is a good ally of this specific industry.

As regards visitors flow, it has appeared low at the end of the first day of the show. Today France counts around 3,800 plastics and rubber processing companies, while employed people in the overall industry are almost 200.000 (direct and indirect).
