On Thursday November 9, 2017 the annual CEN Technical Committee 145 Assembly took place. The delegates from France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and United Kingdom defined the working program of the European standards on plastics and rubber machines safety.
The new versions of the standards on agglomerators, blade granulators and shredders, calenders, internal mixers, haul-offs, reaction moulding machines and plants are at the finalization stage, after the enquiry and the technical assessments of CEN Consultants and in view of the publication of the standards in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Moreover, the coordination of the European standardization bodies is ongoing to express a common position within ISO Technical Committee 270 on injection moulding machines standard, which is at the final stage, while the study of a standard on magnetic clamping systems is starting.
CEN/TC 145 – and ISO/TC 270 – are chaired by Italy and the Secretariat is managed respectively by the Association AMAPLAST and UNI.
